This is the upcoming Gavazza Jiu-Jitsu championship I will be competing in. Aside from ranking the athletes in the circuit, this event is also helping to combat the mosquito borne disease Dangue fever, that has hit the state of Rio hard this year.
Taking advantage of my status as a foreigner, I turned in my entry during the week of the event…Unfortunately my living here has me classified under the Brasilian rule of a strict deadline. So to make a long story short, no Nationals for me this weekend. This was to be a great test to my current skill and training as well as a point of reference for the direction in the academy.
